Rules Revision Suggestions

The AACS National Competition Rule Revision Committee is now accepting recommendations for rule revisions and/or additions to the AACS National Competition Manual (2025 Edition). The deadline for submitting rule changes to your state office is April 30, 2024.

Use the Rules Revision Submission Form to submit rule changes. Please submit only one rule change per form. A place also exists on this form to submit a new category proposal and the rationale for adding the new category.

Rules Revision Form 2025 Manual

In proposing rule additions, deletions, and modifications, please follow these steps:

1. Submit a completed Rules Revision Submission Form exactly as the submitter wants the revised or new rule to read in the 2025 Competition Manual.
2. State the rationale for each rule change (addition, deletion, or modification) and for proposed new categories. The rationale statement must accompany the detailed rule change proposal.
3. Submit the proposed change to your school principal for his/her signature. The principal will forward to the state office for consideration. The state office will forward the recommendations it supports to the AACS office. Submissions directly to the AACS office will not be accepted.

The AACS National Competition Manual (2025 Edition) will be available for purchase in April 2025. Rule changes will go into effect for the 2025-2026 school year. Competition in April 2025 will be governed by the current AACS Competition Manual (2020 edition).
